Village of Shorewood – GIS Utility Database

GIS, Data Collection

TWiG is preparing utility databases and programming for the Village of Shorewood Public Works Department. Over 16,000 existing sanitary sewer, watermain, storm sewer, and street light features have been surveyed via survey grade GPS and inventoried in a custom GIS database. Handheld GPS equipment was utilized to capture attribute information and survey municipal street signs. TWiG created utility atlases and custom web and mobile mapping applications. TWiG trained Village staff to utilize GPS equipment and GIS applications to maintain and access the data sets.
