Village of New Lenox

Route 30 Corridor Implementation Plan

TWiG served as the Transportation Planning and Civil Engineering subconsultant in preparation of the Route 30 Corridor Implementation Plan for the Village of New Lenox. Funded with by a CMAP assistance grant, the corridor study focused on multi-modal enhancements and coordination of planned improvements to increase the efficiency, capacity, and safety of the corridor. The plan also focused on land use and transportation planning strategies that would spur redevelopment opportunities and generate an economic development return for the Village, businesses, and owners. TWiG investigated the existing and proposed corridor conditions; analyzed parking, cross access, and right-of-way configurations; recommended intersection improvements, circulation routes and transit service locations; and evaluated scenarios for the inclusion and coordination of bicycle and pedestrian facilities.
